Vitus Blue is a Handmade Vintage leather dog collar , made from 2 layers of vegetable tanned leather which has been tooled to produce the pattern you see in the pictures. It has also a vintage antique finish and the collar will develop a nice patina with use . Tooling and curving the leather by hand as well as distressing the leather is a very delicate and time consuming process which can take up to 15 hours to produce what you see .

Care & maintenance

Here at leatherforpets we use only the best vegetable tanned leather from Italy.As this is a natural material there can be minor variations in color or even on the leather itself. These variations are a sign of the leather’s high quality and not blemishes.
If your dog likes being very active in the mud or likes swimming or if the collar gets dirty with use all you have to do is to hand wash it with mild soap in cold water and let it air dry in room temperature.
Also do keep in mind , this is a natural product and it will develop a nice patina which only makes the collar look even better. Our luxury handmade leather collars will last for very long time if properly cared for.
